Yes. The QE2 and QM2 regularly carry passengers one-way between Southampton and New York. Book a passage with your travel agent. Several regular merchant ships also do the same. You will have to do a little digging to find passage on a conventional merchant ship.

Holland America offers trips that are 17-days in length and leave from Rotterdam, end up in Boston. You may be able to pick it up in the UK, check with a good travel agent.

You see more people should travel the atlantic passage by ship anyway, because of terroism but also because of our increasingly congested airways., which will lead to more air traffic accidents.
