Usually bad kitty breath is cause by one (or all) of three things... 1) Poor quality food. 2) Poor dental hygiene. 3) Kidney failure.
If it's the first problem, try changing his/her diet to a better quality food and you can also try Pit'r Pat Cat Mints.
If it's bad teeth/gums or kidney problems, take your kitty to a vet.

Without seeing your cat, I am guessing he is having tooth problems, particularly if he's getting on in years. Or he has an ongoing illness. If his breath is really that bad, I am advising a vet check it out. I don't think you want to have all your cat's teeth pulled. If his teeth are in good condition, I really don't know what is causing his bad breath except for an intestinal problem. I honestly don't think "breath mints" are going to solve your problem...mints will only cover up what's really wrong with your cat.

Petrodex is one style of toothpaste for cats. you won't be able to apply human stuff because it includes xylitol that is poisonous for cats. they have brushes too yet you should use a small smooth little ones brush. Getting a cat to allow you sweep, besides the undeniable fact that, gained't happen in an afternoon or 2, fantastically if something hurts in there. more effective acceptable have the vet examine the mouth. may be something from cavities to kidney or liver sickness to diabetes.

Greenies are great for cats. Also, take your cat to a vet and make sure it doesn't have periodontal disease, which can make its teeth rotten and its breath stinky. It may need a dental cleaning.

CET makes dental chews and rinse. You can get from your vet. Thats what I use and it seems to work ok. They do need their teeth professionally cleaned at some point as well.
