To get the fact straight apple juice is usually from concentrate it's more sweeter and has preservatives added to it, where apple cider is squeezed from apples that have fallen from the trees to the ground at the apple orchards. Now if the cider is being sold to the super markets they add preservatives to stop the cider from turning hard, if you want hard cider which we Mainers call apple jack buy it from the apple orchards and let it sit for about 3 months. Heed and take My warning if you drink to much of it, it will give you the runs and you will be sittin on the hopper every five minutes. LOL.

Apple Cider is the actual liquid pressed from the apples but apple juice is not.

Apple juice is clear and has been filtered to look pure. Apple cider is straight from the press and tend to have a cloudy colour. Apple juice also usually has more sugar tahn apple cider.
