I am visiting this October. What are some must see, places or shows to attend, or event, natural parks, museaums, free events. I love the fall, what will the weather be like. I have ordered travel guides, but I would love your opinion. Thank you

The Columbia River Gorge is a must see in the Portland area. Ashland Oregon is supposed to be a nice town near Medford.

I was raised in Portland, and there is so much to do and see. You have to visit the Rose Garden...The flowers are breathtaking! And if you like museums, you'll have plenty to pick from! If you get the chance, go see Multnomah Falls. It's not too far outside of Portland, and you won't regret it! Check out this link for it. trips.stateoforegon.com/multnomah_falls
As I said, I was raised in Portland, and I'm a Military wife now and we live in Italy. I try to fly home at least once a year to visit my family and friends, but this year we are going to Germany for our vacation. My husband is from Tennessee and had never been to Oregon until we met, and he just thought it was beautiful.
I'm jealous that you get to go...I can't make it home until April!
I hope you have a great time!

Pine State biscuits -- the only draw back is quite constrained area and in elementary terms open till like a million or 2 pm previous better halves tale (relatively breakfast and vegetarian food -- my spouse's admired place) show screen Door Otto's (i'm style of a meat eater) Bunk sandwich save (it extremely is great busy at lunch, although) i like to attempt new issues, so I rather have been throughout. My spouse likes vegetarian and issues like Mediterranean food, whilst i like greater meaty issues -- steaks, burgers, dogs.
