Last Trick or Treat should be 12...at 13 they should start going to little parties or giving out candy. "Teen" is the trick or treat cut off word!

This is a holiday of pagan orgin and it is representing the fallen angels. They came to earth and materialized human bodies and posed as humans. Even marrying women. So it was like a custome, because they really were not humans. The Jack'O Latern was representing when the angels were forced from heaven to wonder the earth. In Irish folk tales.
It is made up of Ghosts and goblins. Called the holiday of SAtan the Devil. Why would you want your children to ever celebrate it.
The way they figure it that time period corresponds with the flood.
The was the first time God ever took action against these wicked angels. Drowning their wives and children. They were forced to go back into spirit bodies. There human bodies would have drowned. All down through the ages people have celebrated this day for them. Called all souls day, halloween and any name they wanted attatched to it. But it has always been celebrated.

When it's more fun for them to stay home, decorate the house and hand out candy, of course!

For me.... My last trick-or-treat was when I was 11. I thought I was too old go to out, so I stayed home, and then felt jealous of all the other kids who got to go out from house to house. So I put on my navy-style peacoat, grabbed a bag, and went around our neighborhood. One house gave me the hairy eyeball and said, "Aren't you a little old for this?"

That's when I started getting more into decorating the house and handing out the candy. When I was still living with my parents, I would dress up and hand out candy in some kind of freaky costume. When I was in college, I would get dressed up with friends and go to restaurants and other places that had special Hallowe'en activities.

Nowadays... well, we have 21 plastic skeletons, four blacklight fixtures, a fog machine, two different animated ghost figures, and assorted other scary paraphernalia (spiders, bats, ravens, a zombie, a pile of glow-in-the-dark skulls, etc.). We are currently drawing up designs to duplicate the skeleton warriors from "Army of Darkness" in the front yard. And that doesn't include the "Hallowe'entown" setup we add to every year, with lighted and (increasingly) animated miniatures set up on a table in the livingroom.

So... Sometime in early adolescence, trick-or-treating becomes less interesting. But you can still keep the joy of Hallowe'en by creating something that will bring pleasure to others!

When they no longer enjoy it...every year I am surprised how old some of the tricker treaters are...but one thing for sure ...they are enjoying themselves..cus I wouldn't be caught dead in a spider man costume if I didn't enjoy the candy.

I did it through college, but now parties are more fun. Some people can be jerks when a 22-year-old shows up at their door, but most are cool.
