How would the world be different today, if at all, if sex was as publicly advertised and flaunted around when our parents and grandparents were growing up as it is today?

Well...my grandparents grew up in the fourties/fifties. If sex was publicized then like it is today, it would be scandalous!!! I'm sure to some degree it was, but nothing could be as bad as the way we advertise intimacy today. I mean, we use sex to sell perfume that by all other definitions stinks. Lolz. I think that if they were more sexually explicit back then, things like gay marriage would have been sorted out loooong ago. The issues that are starting to become Big Deals now, woudlnt' matter as much.
