I actually met my last 2 relationships online. The first one lasted for 2 1/2 years, but we weren't meant to be in the end.
I have now found the man I'm spending my life with. We actually met on the website "hot or not" haha! We talked for a while through e-mail, and then texting on the phone. We eventually agreed to met up, and we've been inseparable ever since. We are getting married next year :)

The odds are against this type of relationship. How can you fall for someone in an intimate and romantic way, without being in personal contact with them for a period of months to a year? There just is NO way to truly know what a person is like on line. For all you know, this guy might be another Jack the Ripper, with a silver tongue, who can sell religion to the devil.

Yes it can happen! You just have to honest and be who you really are, don't be someone that you aren't just because you think that you won't have feelings for someone on the internet. Hopefuly the person that you find and fall in love with is being honest to you also. YES it can happen and it happened to me...found the love of my life over a year ago!!

I did. My wife lived in Louisiana, I live in Indiana. After chatting for several months I flew down to meet her. ( we not only chatted online but also on phone) I can't say it was love at first sight because we fell in love before we ever saw each other. I flew down several more times, her and the kids drove up to visit several times I proposed, she accepted and we have been together for 5 years now, married for 3!!!

You really don't know unless you try. The first thing is that people expect love to fall on your doorstep like the pizza guy delivering pizza to your door. Chemistry is not going to happen instantly. Looking at some of the other answers, it is possible. Keep your options open. That is my suggestion.

Yes, a lady I worked with started talking to a guy online. Finally met him in a public place, after chatting for like 3 months. They totally hit it off in person. Now they are married. BTW, he turned out to be a millionaire and she quit her office job! (NO LIE!!) They've been married for 3 years now.
