When do illegals have civil rights in the US, why does the Fourth Amendment apply to them?

This kind of crap sickens me. What kind of country are we trying to protect?

I Guess were suppose to let the DAM drug smugglers shot our border patrol agents. This is COMPLETE and utter BS. The prosecutor should be run out of america and sent to be with his ILLEGAl DRUG SMUGGLING friends. If we can't shot the bastards in the back next time I hope they shot the pricks right square in the FACE.

What's happened is that our legal system has been systematically jacked around to favor illegals. There's advocacy groups etc out there that think it's wrong for illegals from mexico or anywhere else to be apprehended.

I think it's high lunacy to have the law turned against people trying to actually enforce our border laws, and it's something that the dude/ettes in Congress as well as the Supreme Court need to look at. If the thugs are packin', our officers need to have the right to defend themselves.

This is one more point in favor of the border fence, because that fence will help prevent such encounters. What'd help even more is a new treaty that expressly prohibits illegal immigration from Mexico into the United States, but even if we can't get one of those, there's no reason not to go ahead and just build the damn thing, and have done with it.

100MPH chases, people hiding out in our communities, selling drugs, gang gun battles, the majority of this is related to our slipshod border policy whether the politicos want to admit it or not. Building the fence would slow down 90% of it, the other 10% can be handled by nailing down legislation that expressly forbids the hiring of illegal aliens. When it turns into a felony to a) be in our country illegally, or b) provide aid, comfort, or employment to such persons, then the law will at least be pointed in the right direction on the issue. Now, question is, how many states are willing/able to be that hard-nosed about it?

Our country's a string of contradictions, and I think sometimes that works against us...I don't advocate violence, I think it's stupid, but when you've got someone in a situation where they're supposed to be enforcing the law, and they get attacked, as in that story, they should have the protection of acting to enforce the law rather than just be eaten alive by some opportunistic civil rights lawyer etc.

There's nothing keeping Mexico from getting its' act together on this one but fear, and good sense. We can help them by making it crystal-clear that their citizens aren't welcome in our country except under limited conditions, and that US law applies to their citizens in full when they are in our country. Get all that put down in writing, and it might help to prevent any more of this from happening in the future. But, that border fence would help more...

it is not basically the Mexicans for you to be stricken approximately. make the situation to circulate to the closest Social protection place of work and notice who's there finding for advantages. If the guidelines weren't set-as much as supply those sort of advantages, there could be alot much less unlawful human beings crossing any boarder. you additionally can upload to that any enterprise that has unlawful workers would desire to be close down, no count number what the enterprise is. whilst it somewhat is going to become nicely-known of what could ensue, alot employment for illegals could be lost.. definite, each and every physique has the rights to run their enterprise as they see in positive condition, yet as with many rules, they're there to stay with.

son of a *****! that makes me ******* sick! Why don't we all just hand them the keys to our homes. That's the direction we are going in any way. Those low life bastards think they have a right to come here and then they get immunity to testify. where are the rights for the border patrol? The only thing the patrol did wrong was not to kill the guy and bury his sorry *** in the desert!

That is disgusting .How dare they try to convict theses agents,I am so damn tired of all this human rights crap.
The illegals shouldn't have any rights in this country,in Mexico they are guilty until proven innocent, that lays the burden on the defendant to prove hes innocent.
In the US you are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
They are awarded more rights and freedom here in the country they were entering illegally, than they have in Mexico. That's just wrong.See why we protest the illegal immigrants so strongly .this is just wrong for those officers to be charged with anything. They deserve your support and I for one do support them 100%.

It's a travesty of justice ... especially since the felon in this case, the drug smuggler, was given immunity ... only to go on getting caught when he tried to bring in drugs for a second time ... our guys who are doing their best to protect our border get slammed in jail, the drug smugglers get immunity ... anyone see something wrong with this picture?
Go figure ....

The article states: "According to the U.S. attorney who successfully prosecuted the agents, the man they were chasing didn't actually have a gun, shooting him in the back violated his civil rights, the agents didn't know for a fact that he was a drug smuggler, and they broke Border Patrol rules about discharging their weapons and preserving a crime scene."

Appears they broke more laws than the guy illegally entering the United States.

they should have shot him and never mentioned it , this is what bothered me

"It is a violation of Border Patrol regulations to go after someone who is fleeing," she said. "The Border Patrol pursuit policy prohibits the pursuit of someone."

then what do they do? tell someone to stop and if they don't they just watch them get away
