Bananas are good workout fuel. One pound per week is a fairly healthy rate for weight loss. You'll reach your goal in less than a year and you won't hurt yourself doing it. Losing weight too fast- along with being dangerously unhealthy- is almost never permanent. It takes time for your metabolism to adjust. Keep doing what you have been. Kiwi is another good fruit. Not all carbs are bad, especially if you need energy. Only simple sugar and processed flour carbs are really fattening. Fruit sugar is different from the white sugar that comes in a box.

Exercise or no exercise you won't be able to lose the weight if you don't cut your food intake but we all know that's pretty hard, right? A good appetite suppressant can help you out big time but it has to be natural or you can get into serious heath problems.
I lost 38 lbs in 2 months by using garcinia cambogia extract (FDA approved 100% natural). In my first month 26 and then 12 the second month. I was an emotional eater and these supplements changed my life. They act like an appetite suppressant so I didn't feel like eating anymore. Not hungry anymore -> Lower calories -> Lose weight, simple as that. I did no exercises just 20 minutes walks 5 days a week.
It's been 4 months since I lost the weight and I did not gain any pounds back, actually I lost another 5 lbs (I stop taking them after I lost the weight). If you want to take a look here is a website where you can find discounts: http://www.garciniapromo.com I got them 30% off from here. Hope this helps!

Look at it this way- if you choose a banana for a snack over a bagel- that's great. Bananas do have some fat and carbs, but one a day is not enough to matter, especially if you're working out. Usually when people start a new workout routine it takes at least two months or so to start seeing results, because your metabolism is changing. You may even gain a few pounds at first- but if you keep at it, all of a sudden you'll see the pounds melt away. Be careful though- 2-3 lbs per week is considered safe. Anything over that and you could be doing more harm than good to your body. So go ahead- eat a banana, and keep up the good work!

BAD! Most of the calories from bananas come from carbohydrates but the typical dieter doesn't think about a banana as a "carb". She/he thinks of a banana as a fruit (which it is). We have been programmed to think fruits are good for us no matter what. Now, some banana is good in our diet. It provides fiber, potassium, vitamins C & B-6. However, banana's are high in calories and 1 can represent about 5-8% of a moderately active adults daily caloric intake. If you are trying to lose weight, you should be trying to cut calories. A banana is not your friend here and I would choose berries or another fruit with fewer calories. If you must have a banana eat only 1/2 a banana every 2-3 days or cut them out completely and save them for an every once in a while treat. Your belly fat will thank you!

You didn't mention what kind of food plan you are following. Bananas are actually a wonderful source of minerals, vitamin B, potassium and complex carbs. If you are on a diet in which carbs are completely or very restricted, then that could be interfering with your goals. If you are just watching calorie intake/portion sizes, then I really don't think that a banana a day is the source of your concerns. Have you checked with a doctor about your weight loss? Losing over 50 lbs. is quite an undertaking, if you are trying to go it alone without any guidance. Have you looked into Weight Watchers? They still have one of the most successful plans going, as they don't restrict you from any particular food, they just teach you how to eat and assist you with learning how to maintain your goal weight once you reach it. You've already taken the big step of making the deicsion to take control of your life...that's half the battle...good luck to you!

It's a bit controversial whether banana is good or bad particularly in this case of weight loss. Like any other fruits banana is also very nutritious. This fiber enriched fruit contains potassium, vitamin A, B and C, folic acid etc.
However, if your main goal is to loss weight fast then you can skip this fruit as it contains large amount of calories (around 100 cal/ 1 pc).

Yoga can be a great friend in every diet. It's all about hormones balance. There are no "bad" hormones. But when hormones get unbalanced, bad things happen in your body. Your body releases cortisol when you're under stress. It's part of the whole “fight or flight” response. Increased cortisol levels could be making you fat. The kind of fat you are most likely to store from elevated cortisol is called visceral fat — the dangerous belly fat that’s linked to diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol levels.
I'm following this great online program that teaches how to use YOGA to lose weight. You should check it out as well. This is the link of the site: http://yogafitness.toptips.org
Cheers ;)
