I keep hearing taxes has gone down, but my property taxes have doubled in the last 5 years and most government fees have doubled, ,this mean we are paying more taxes, than ever.
Do the republicans really thing Taxes or lower?

I agree with "turboweegie" IT IS BECAUSE OF THE MAJORITY OF "THE SMALL SEGMENT OF PEOPLE THAT ACTUALLY VOTE" FOR COUNTY MILLAGES THAT INCREASE YOUR PROPERTY TAXES.
FOR EXAMPLE:
IF A COUNTY HAS 10,000 PEOPLE AND 20% OR 2,000 OF THEM SHOW UP TO VOTE AND 1,001 VOTE FOR TAX MILLAGES FOR FIRE, POLICE, ROAD, 911, SCHOOLS, ETC. THEN IN ACTUALITY 10% OF THE COUNTY POPULATION HAS VOTED TO INCREASE EVERYONES PROPERTY TAXES!!!
THIS IS HIGHLY UNFAIR AND WE NEED SERIOUS "TAX AND VOTING REFORM" WE NEEDTO ELIMINATE THE PROPERTY TAX ALL TOGETHER, IN MY OPINION.
OUR COUNTRY SEEMS TO HAVE MORE MONEY THAN THEY KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH. WHY IN THE WORLD ARE WE GIVING OUR HARD EARNED TAXES AWAY TO OTHER COUNTRIES, REBUILDING OTHER COUNTRIES AND ALSO FORGIVING DEBTS FROM OTHER COUNTRIES WHO WE LOANED MONEY TO.
