It's normal at that age, you know. We're all still waking up for life, trying things which are new to us and messing a lot of stuff up. That's why we tend to call one another names and stuff...
We all want to learn about sex and love and relationships. Everybody in the world is curious about these things and needs to learn about them. So it's normal that we make mistakes; namely, that we sometimes get so excited about what we're discovering and about what we're thinking might happen, that we eventually forget to respect people and end up hurting their feelings and disappointing them. It's natural and happens to everybody.
Give those guys some time to grow up, and you'll see that some of them will start appreciating you for what's in your head. That's probably all they really need: some time. Some life experience.

I feel the same way. We are in different age groups but I still feel you on that. Wanting the real thing is just fine. Some people thrive on game playing but they can't play with you if you don't play with them. Keep your head up and don't settle for anything less than what you deserve. You deserve the best and so do I. Hey, one day our ship will sail in---the we can ride it into the sunset. Until then, let's just stay docked.

Of course it isn't wrong to want it. Just settle for a while and sometime, you never know. A random talk with a friend could somehow lead to you meeting an aweshome guy and then lead to you both being together for a while. That is what happened for me and my girlfriend, and we are still together. Have been since October 20th, 2004.

It's not a problem to 'want' the real thing. It's a problem to 'find' the real thing. Especially at our age, guys we're meeting are 'almost' all after one thing. Sex. Not sex and a relationship, because that'd be great. But just sex in many cases. There are good guys out there. I read about them. One day I hope I get to meet one face to face.

The problem is with wanting to have meaningless hook ups. It's normal to want a fulfilling relationship.

If all you're ever getting are guys that want sex, then you're giving them the impression that that's what you want, as well. Maybe try NOT talking about sex when you first meet them? 'Cause when girls talk about their sexual endeavros and whatnot, that misleads men into thinking that's what they're all about. If you want a real relationship, wait before sleeping with them. Wait until you're sure they're into you for you, and not just for sex.

I don't think it is a problem at all. I'm with a guy at the moment and i've realised that he's not really in2 me romantically, bt he just wants 2 do it with me. I like him, and he can really turn me on, bt I don't go down like that. There's more to me than just my vagina!!! & if he duzn't want all of that... He ain't gettin none of this!!! I'm turning 19.

Totally wrong -- what are you a little girl ? -- what do you need a man for ? one thing that you can't get from toys or girlfriends
otherwise -- money you can and should earn it
friendship -- should be your family and girlfriends
what else is there -- no one will ever care for your more than themselves
and that isn't a personal insult -- i mean no one ever truly cares for anyone else ---- its nature baby

Nope, nothing wrong with that. Some people will probably say your too young to have reached that point but I think we are all individuals and reach that point at different ages. In your case it sounds like you are there and that is just who you are.
