I'm the maid-of-honor in my friend's wedding and we're all going to Las Vegas for 5 days for her bachelorette party. What should I take or not take on the plane with me? Should I just wait to buy the novelty party items when we get there?

Due to the security issues at the airports right now, you basically can't take anything on the airplane! Not your cell phone, any sort of liquids, or even your car keys! I would take whatever you want, but check your luggage instead of carrying it on...just to be safe.
Have fun too...I just went to vegas last weekend for my bachelorette party and it was nothing but drama! So, as maid of honor, do everything in your power to make sure everyone is there to celebrate the BRIDE!!! And go to the clubs early so you don't have to stand in line for 3 hours!!!

I say whatever it is, put it in your suitcase and don't carry it on the plane. If it is something that can be broken I would suggest ordering it online and having it shipped to her PRIOR to the trip. If it may cause some type of embarrassment to either yourself or her if found, i say leave it at home and give it to her in private OR buy it in Vegas and let her deal with it. You could also have it arranged to be shipped to the hotel that you are staying at. that way it will be there when you arrive and no problems with the airport such as them losing it or anything.
With all the added stuff you have to go through just to get ON the planes nowadays, I would say skip bringing any carryons if possible.

With the current laws that have been put into action, don't take very much, because you may have to throw it all away before bording. Good luck and have a good time!. As far as a more accurate answer to your question, maybe give the gift before getting on the plane so you don't feel out of place.

Buy your novelty items and pack them in a suitcase that can be checked. If something happens to the luggage be prepared to buy new in Vegas, but your best bet would be to buy in advance.

With all the what not going on you should probably get them shipped there or buy them there casue they wont let anything suspicious on the planes now. And who knows what they could think of some random bachlorette party item.

Order them online and have them sent right to the hotel. I'm sure if you call ahead they'll hold the package for a day or so if the items arrive early. Have fun!

How familiar are you with getting around in Vegas? I would hate for you to get there and have trouble finding what you want. You will all want to start having fun as soon as you get there. Shop ahead of time and either ship it ahead or check a suitcase.

Either buy the party items there (you'll be in "sin city") or order them online and have it shipped to the hotel you're staying at. One less thing to carry with you.

with airplane security, I think that I would order online & have it sent to the hotel. that way the suprise would'nt be ruined by airport security! (Just in case)
