When we die, will we be judged by our belief or by our acts during our lives? I have a hard time believing that someone could believe in God but live a sinful life and still have a better chance of getting into Heaven than someone who lived a life based on Christ's teachings, but didn't necessarily believe.

There is no Heaven. When you die, you're dead.

You enter by knowing Jesus as your personal savior and accepting him into your heart and believing ONLY! Not by your works alone.
Many people believe that Christians use God as an excuse to lead a horrible life because all you have to do is ask forgiveness, but the truth is, if you really are a Christian then you try to live your life the best you can and to follow God. Everyone has sin in their lives the only difference is - Christians try to live life following God and even though we are human and WILL sin - we ask forgiveness and God forgives us. That doesn't give us a ticket for sinning, or permission to do as we want. We will still be judged in front of God one day.
If you live a life based on Christs teachings, then we should be saved anyway, so that part of your question makes no sense.
Being a good person as many think that they are - will not get you into Heaven. It clearly states that in the Bible. God gives us many chances to know him and it is our decision to follow and believe, or not.
I hope you make the right choice.

The Bible tells us the only way and that is to believe in Jesus Christ. Jesus is the way and the truth and the life and only through Him can we get into heaven. Those you talk about that don't necessarily believe will not have their names in Jesus' Book of Life and will be judged to hell. Jesus reads the heart and judges from there. He knows if we really believe or not.

My thought is your actions will get you there. People who say they believe and then live a sinful life are not true believers. They just know what to say so people will think they are the first in line for heaven. I can't stand the ones that are partying and getting high on Saturday night then sitting in church on Sunday only to come out and condemn the people they party with on Monday.

Jesus was asked this same question by a very religious man named Nicodemus, his answer was this. "Verily, verily I say unto you, lest a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God."

So I guess this is the best way to answer the question then and now.

If someone doesn't believe then what would be their concern about Heaven?

Also there is a judgement also for beliver's only, where based on the way you lived for Christ you will receve rewards...but you will not keep them, they will be place at the feet of Jesus.

We are saved by grace (a gift) through faith in Jesus' sacrifice for sin (our sin) only if you choose to understand and freely accept it. With it comes the responsibility to repent of your sins. Turn away from sin. And follow him. Jesus asked His Father if there was any other way and the answer was no. If you choose Christ as your Lord, you will be amazed how he will move in your life and release you from bondage sin has on you. Yes, you will be tempted sometimes but now you will have the strength to walk away, if you choose to. You won't be a slave to sin any longer. According to scripture, that is the only way to heaven. And avoid all "religions", this is strictly between you and Christ, absolutely no one else. Jesus said " no one comes to the father but by me." And God said there is only one mediator between God and Man, and that is Jesus. We can take it or leave it. We all have free will, but we need to acknowledge our sinful nature.

Eph 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works, so that no one can boast

Accepting Jesus as your savior, believing that he died for all sin, and rose again. That is the ticket to Heaven. No amount of good deads or prayer can let you reach God.

John 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

John 16:7-11 But I tell you the truth: It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. When he comes, he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment: in regard to sin, because men do not believe in me; in regard to righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; and in regard to judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned.

When we die we will be judged by God's standards. His standards are the ten commandments written in the bible. If you have ever told a lie, stolen something (anything), used God's name in vain ( to express dusgust), or looked at a woman or a man with lust. These are just four of the ten commandments. How many have you broken? Everybody has broken them right? That's why the bible says that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, because we have. Now punishment for sinning is death and eternal separation from God in hell. And because he is a faithful and just God he must go forth with his punishment.

Picture if you were standing before a judge because you have just murdered somebody. (hatred is murder according to the bible). Now you can say whatever you want to the judge but he cannot just let you go no matter how he feels for you. You broke the law, now you must take the punishment.

God has to punish you, but if God took the punishment upon himself in your place and all you have to do is accept his offer, then you can go free and spend an eternity with him in heaven.

Now to be saved from this punishment we must repent, that means turn from these sins( the breaking of God's commandments) and put our trust in Jesus(accepting his offer). You see there is no other way for us to get into heaven than without accepting Jesus, because if we don't we are still lost in our sins and God has to punish us. So I beg you, before you go to bed tonight to bow your head and accept Jesus into your life. Admit to him that you are a sinner and you want to turn from them. Ask him to come into your life. The bible says tomorrow is promised to no one, so I beg you once more, before you go to bed tonight to do this.

I don't think you can get to heaven if you do NOT believe....but I truly think that as long as you have been the best person you can be, you are a shoo-in for entrance into the pearly gates above...even if you have screwed up and are truly remorseful and have tried to make amends, I think God will have your back...just to be sure, don't take any chances and be a good person....

The answer you need to hear is: A personal relationship with Jesus Christ. A death to your old self and a life with Jesus is the only way to gain entrance to Heaven.
