You know he was reading a lot of texts & manuscripts...he can't talk about it...won't talk about it...& all he can say is that evil is real. Would you assume from that that there is indeed more of a cover-up than what we think?

Maybe he is in a cult. Cover-up??? Wait...you said, "more of a cover-up", implying there is alreay a cover-up. Have been reading the Da Vinci Code or something?

Nope. I would have encouraged my friend to study from a secular perspective though. Critical empathy is the best way to study religion.
