It depends on your age, physical endurance, diet and other physical activities you do. Ideally speaking 5 sets of 20 push ups a day are good enough for an average, healthy adult from 20 years to 45. After 45 these should be gradually reduced to 50 (10 x 5 sets).

Maintenance is 40 push-ups a day. 20 in the morning 20 at night.

depends on the person. you will never get huge by doing push ups. but if thats all you can do. i would do as many as you could by doing sets. say 4 sets of 25 starting. then move up 5 each week. finially you will be doing more than you want.

52 is the Army minimum standard. 82 is the max. I would say a minimum of 30 in sets of 4 or 5.

I do about 500 daily (you should 5 sets of 100 throughought the day)

Well.....Im fifteen and I do 100 straihgt through........before I go to bed....and I also do 100 slow crunvhes and Im seeing very nice results and Ive been doing these for about a month
