What are some ways you could integrate Linux servers into a Windows network? What would be the advantages and disadvantages?

i am assuming you are talking about file sharing and resource sharing (printers and so on). although i am not very familiar with all of this, i know that samba is pretty popular for doing this. samba lets you share files and printers and all.

We use Linux for DNS, DHCP, and Apache web server. Also we use a Linux box for Nagios and it monitors our windows servers as well as Linux/UNIX and sun systems. Other uses could be shibboleth servers, LDAP which can be used with windows or even novell to authenticate users. Linux is just the greatest OS ever to me, not just because I'm an admin but I've used it free for years and that's what really got me hooked on it. I can do more from a Linux command line than I could ever do pointing and clicking in windows.
