I straighten my hair every day, but always make sure that you use something to protect your hair before straigening - any anti-frizz serum will work. Although I had heard that straigtening it all the time would keep my hair that way permanently, i found it to be untrue (darn it! LOL). Every time I wash my hair it ends up curly again.

No its not healthy to straighten hair everyday. The heat will definitely damage your hair. Get a hairdresser to style your hair, and go back every 2 or 3 weeks to get it straightened. My hair is naturally curly/wavy as well...but I get mine straightened too! Straightening it will NOT make your curls go away if you ever want it back that way! That's a myth! When I don't want it straight, I just wet it, and put some Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Gel in it....and put it in a ponytail!

My hair is the exact same way, and extremely long. I straighten it daily. You may find yourself getting split ends faster than usual, but you just get a little trim and problem solved. (It doesn't happen REALLY fast, just faster than if you didn't use any heat iron on it at all.)
However, to get around that, you can always find a hair product that will help protect your hair while you straighten it. One I personally like is Redken's Hot Sets, which will protect your hair, but also help it straighten better!
Plus, after you get in the habit of doing it daily, within a week you'll be able to straighten all of your hair in like 10 minutes. And don't worry.. my curl ALWAYS comes back!

No, not healthy to straighten it everyday. If you want something more permanent you could go to a beauty shop and have it relaxed. It cost about $300 or so but it last about 6 months to a year. That might be a little more healthier then straightening it everyday.

Its never healthy to straighten your hair every day and theres a lot of things you have to know before you do. First things first you cant color strightened hair, or high light it. Seccondly it breaks a lot easier when its stright. And Lastly a lot of people look great with thick wavy hair maybe youre one of them.
You can do it just to see how it looks, but becareful what you put in it after that just to see how it looks and feels.

First of all, if you straighten your hair it will get back to curly since your hair is naturally curly. It's gonna get back to the way it is. I straigten my hair with the hair straightening device, and then I comb it flat with my blowdrier. And I finish off with a frizz-control spray. It won't ruin your hair, it's healthier if you use an aloe-vera based conditioner. Then it's okay to straighten each day.

NO! Don't do it every day...once in a while is ok, I fried my hair and my hair is now thin and I loose an excessive amount of hair...so it's a ad choice to straighten it everyday, but try it once in a while.

don't chemically straighten your hair. i knew a woman who got japanese straightening and it looked great, but when her roots started to grow out, it looked really bad. it's nice that you have an option to have curly or straight hair. i wouldn't straighten my hair every day though - it will damage your hair. get it blown out at a salon every once in awhile. i'm sure your curls are beautiful.

If you have a lot of hair, and you straighten it out it'll look great! But don't iron it daily because the heat really damages it a lot.
