There are some pretty good suggestions already on here. About the only thing I would add is to make sure the name isn't going to be an embarrassment later on. Think about the first and last name sound together as well. Also, if you decide to spell the name in an unusual way, prepare her for all the ways people will misspell it. It gets annoying, but if the parent spells it weird, then the kid has to put up with it later.
