He was a great teacher who used stories and possibly magic to entertain and educate people... but he was not divine any more or less than anyone else.

good question.

I think that Jesus was a mortal. I think he was smarter that the average person at the time. I bet he was really charismatic at that.
just like a good salesman (don't hate me on that one) he knew how to work a crowd, and get his word across.

Nobody really knows what Jesus truly was because the only record of his life is in the bible, which was written decades to hundreds of years after his death. There is no other historical record whatsoever of what he did in his life.
