Does it really matter? It sounds sarcastic, I know, but I know many people who've gotten so caught up on this debate that they've turned others off from religious discussions with them.

I am a biracial woman and growing up I've sat in Vacation Bible School classes with women teaching that the premise that Adam and Eve are white "is a plot of the white man to erase our proud black heritage". I have enough to be proud of in both of my racial identities, it doesn't matter to me what color Adam and Eve were. In the end, I know that they are responsible for everyone's life, so I love everyone knowing that down the line we are all related. Also, Christ is coming back for one church, not a black one, white one, lation one, asian one etc... so it's better to unify the races rather then dwell on divisive issues.

Actually, Adam and Eve were not the first persons. They were Material Sons sent to us by God as biological uplifters. They were actually violet hued.

51:1.3 Material Sons vary in height from eight to ten feet, and their bodies glow with the brilliance of radiant light of a violet hue. While material blood circulates through their material bodies, they are also surcharged with divine energy and saturated with celestial light. These Material Sons (the Adams) and Material Daughters (the Eves) are equal to each other, differing only in reproductive nature and in certain chemical endowments. They are equal but differential, male and female -- hence complemental -- and are designed to serve on almost all assignments in pairs.

Since man developed over centuries of evolution there wasn't a single Adam and Eve to speak of and so their color isn't important.

I don't think I can give you an answer you want but, I can at least put in ---only my theory. After reading a lot on History lately and I am only speaking on European history from the Romans to Old English and the people of this time. Artist were the Journalist of the times and monks were the scribes. They would paint and draw and write the things that were going on in society in those days. Kings and governments were corrupt ---a lot like today's leaders. But the ancient Kings were more successful of controlling the public opinion in ancient times. Lots of written and painted things were sometimes destroyed because Leaders wanted to keep the people ignorant and under their thumb. But when hidden documents were discovered a hundred or more years later, and each era has had their suppressors that would eventually die. Then the next generation would rise up and fight their own battles. But some things were passed on from generation to generation. There are people that will argue about the truth of the Bible or the Hindu or the Buddhist or the Koran or so on. Any one of these teachings could have been altered over the thousands of years of existence. And by the many humans that had access to the original works. But what I find, is looking through old art and seeing that the most things that were painted, was about the creation of mankind and of Godly things. Also reading about simple stories of the times, even if some people were kept in control through false religion and kept naive. But those that were gifted and managed to travel and listen to average people of the times would write and paint the ideas that were current. People were supposed to be more in touch with God in ancient times. More people had visions or had gifts of "spiritual sight" And so many people of these eras have said the same things and written or painted similar stories. Most stories and paintings show heaven and angels and God to be bright and light like the sun. So I am thinking that Adam and Eve were from the image of God. Pale and angel--like. It wasn't until Adam and Eve were kicked out of the Garden of Eden that humanity started to have diversity of different ethnic colors. And I am feeling that God was unhappy with Lucifer and sent him and his kind to Earth to live. And when you look at archaeological findings and discoveries, Most of humanity on the earth in ancient times were of darker complexions with dark hair----the Chinese--people from India---Italy --the---Middle East---Egypt--Africa-- I think Adam and Eve were the first minorities, pale. Adam and Eve could not have produced All races. I am thinking that when Adam and Eves children married ----they could not have married brothers and sisters continuously-----they would have married other beings on the Earth---Yes we know that Adams age could live 800 to 900 years at this time and people would be procreating with each others great--great--great--great--great grand kids. But why not could there be other beings on this Earth that have been the offspring of Adam ----Eve--AND these other beings. We are a mixture of both. When God later saw that mankind was continually following the evil side of humanity---he decided to send his Son to teach mankind the way to have everlasting life--- not just a Earthly Life--but a Spiritual Life-- for ever. I believe that our spiritual life is pale and has no color---sort of like water---. When we die and we are saved and go on to another life our appearance will be void of any color, there would be no use for it.

If Adam and Eve were reflections of God, and God has no color, then why are there people of different colors today?

Be careful answering this - you might define evolution!

I don't think that anyone knows for sure. It doesn't matter anyways. We should stop classifying ourselves by the amount of skin pigment we have. It's a ridiculous distinction and responsible for numerous atrocities.

I think they were Puerto Rican since Puerto Rico is a combination of every major race. (Asian, African, European, Native) Besides, Puerto Rican's are hot so that's probably why Adam couldn't keep his hands off of Eve.
