It could very well be from the flip flops. I never found those type of shoes comfortable to me at all.

The best way to find out is for her to not wear them for a week. If it is the shoes, she should know by then. It gives her toes some time to rest from the pressure and rubbing the flip flops can cause.

i think she's full of crap.

i wear flip flops all the time and i'm fine

she should go to a doctor

she could have stubbed her toe but foot pain comes from dirt under the toe nails uncut toenails or stress on the feet from weight or lack of support of shoes
