Take it from me, as a 20 plus year veteran runner I've tried everything on the market to assist me with my quest for the superior body. Nothing works better than eating healthy, getting plenty of rest, and remaining consistent with your training regimen. Too much protein can damage your kidneys, so if you decide to take a mass builder be sure to drink lots of water to flush out your system daily. What happens is this, when protein is broken down in your body it releases ammonia molecules, and when 2 or more of these molecules bond they form urea which can damage your kidneys. So it stands to reason that if you have too much protein in your system, you run the risk of damaging your kidneys.

Increase the weight on your training. Protein could be helpful to help build muscle. Some body types do not bulk up due to genetic reasons. Give yourself time. Keep up the good work.

That goes against everything I have heard.

The best way to build muscle is eat a lot of lean protein and maybe take supplements like creotine. Tuna (has protein and 3 gr creotine in each can and almost zero fat), chicken, protein bars and shakes... stufff like that.

Muscles are built from protein, so up your intake and you will grow.

I'd suggest that you do it the natural way, and that is to eat good, work out, and drink your water. If you're working out the right way, you should be gaining muscle very nicely and consistent.
Are you performing 3 sets of each muscle group? light, heaver, and heavies? Your last set should be so difficult that you can barely lift? Are you moving slow and controlled? You should see great results with this pyramid.
