We're getting married Sep1 and We're going to Coasta Rica for our honeymoon... When she found out she was like Id love to go though then she didnt ask, but she asked my fiance last night could she he asked me to see how I would feel and I said no. Because she already doesnt like me she underminds me all the time making me look like an uncaring selfish person.. I took her to the grocery store on one occasion and she called me a SL(u)T in front of the cashier she tells my fiance she thinks Im no good but he laughs about it because he doesnt know half of the things she says and do to me.. she cut my finger one time but swore it was an accident.. I know it wasnt but to keep peace I say nothing to my fiance about it, but I absolutely refuse to let this demon come on our honeymoon she says she wont be around us but knowing shes in my vicinity will drive me nuts.. My husband stands by me on my decision but his mother is pleading with him to let her go with the sad story of never being able

If her main excuse is not being able to afford it and you have the money, just offer to send her down sometime after you get back. If you are getting back mid-September offer to pay for her to take a trip early-October. That will leave the demon without a leg (or cloven hoof) to stand on. She will probably not go because her only real reason for going is to torture you. When she says that it won't be the same if she doesn't go with you, you say something like "But you said that you wouldn't be around us, so it doesn't really matter if you go down at a different time". This is the best way if you have the money to send her. It makes you look really generous and her like a psycho when she turns it down. If she does go, pray for a rebellion. Good Luck.

DON'T LET HER COME WITH YOU!!! It's your honeymoon...it's a time for you and your new husband to spend some time together...ALONE. You may never have that chance again, believe me, I know. Stand your ground and tell her NO! It's a good thing that your hubby is standing by you because if he doesn't..that will cause a lot of problems between the two of you. If I were you, I would tell your hubby all the horrible stuff that she is doing to you.

She sounds like a piece of work. I hope that things work out well for you! Good luck!

You're a brave women, marrying a man with a mother like that. OMG of COURSE you are right, don't even question this. You have to establish dominance right away as your husband's wife. Don't be blackmailed by her emotional pleas to your husband. He sounds as if he needs to get a grip on this thing as well. I got the impression if you had said it was okay he would have agreed. That should set off some real danger alarms. Wow...put the skids to this kind of rude interference in your relationship right now or you'll be miserable for a long time in the future.

It is YOUR honeymoon and YOUR vacation. If you and your husband agree, there is no need for mom to come along. It shows a real lack of class and manners to even ask such a thing in the first place. If it were a regular vacay, I'd say suck it up. But your honeymoon is your time to celebrate your love and marriage. Stick to your guns and put your foot down now so that this woman knows she will not be controlling your marriage!!

Good luck with this one!

Tell her no, because a honeymoon is supposed to only be between the husband and wife. If she tags along, she's going to ruin it.

And don't worry about your mother-in-law, there are many people who's in-laws don't like them, but they've developed a good family with the person they married, and that's what's more imprtant.

If she wants to go to Costa Rica that badly, buy her ticket, but do it after you get back from your honeymoon.

Tell her NO. And tell him NO. It is your honeymoon, for crying out loud! Ask her how she would have felt if her mother had gone with her? Or her husband's mother? It sounds to me like Momma is having a hard time letting go of her little boy. You need to nip that in the bud ASAP or it will spiral out of control! Explain to your husband that you two are starting your life together without the direct influence or guidance from your parents! It is your turn to live your lives and tell the old goat to get a life!

I'm sorry but if you let her join along on your honeymoon, you will be doomed forever. Already she sounds like a terrible person who does not like you at all. There's 2 sides to every story. but it would be a huge mistake to let her go along and your future husband should know this as well. She is trying to rule your life and will succeed by winning that one........don't let it happen.......

you need to stop allowing her to do these things to you.you need to have a heart to heart with your husband to be..no,she can not go on your honeymoon, no she can not talk to you like that, no she can not disrespect you like that.the way a marriage starts out is the way it will be forever.you are never going to be treated better in a marriage than it starts out.you should be so in love that it can not get any better.if you are not treated like a princess now you will never be.it will only get worse.if your fiance can not see what his mom is doing to you (&him) i would not be going on the honeymoon because there would be no wedding.good luck & live happy..
