I have had this problem before (does it have something to do with the "fn" or "alt" key? Help!

Try restarting your laptop.
If the problems still there it could be you've changed a setting that tells your laptop which kind of keyboard arrangement you have. If its the @ key then check out the help menu as i cant remember how to reset it.
