First you take the cow over. That leaves the fox and the hay. The fox won't eat the hay so you are all right. Then you take the hay over and take the cow back. When you get back, take the wolf over to the hay and leave the cow where the wolf was. So now you have the wolf with the hay on the side you want to get them to and the cow back where it originally was. Go back and take the cow over where the other 2 are and you are finished.

you take the cow first because the wolf cant eat the hay, then go back and take the wolf and exchange the cow to the wolf then take the hay and leave the cow again, so the wolf and hay are already on the other side then go back and take the cow, its goin back and forth 7 times.

Take the cow across the river to the other side and leave him there. Go back and take the wolf across the river. Bring the cow back across the river to the starting side and then bring the hay across to the other side where the wolf is. Then go back one last time and bring the cow across to the wolf and the hay.
