It means that there are only 12 million people associated with Jehovah's Witnesses, and only 6 million Jehovah's Witnesses who actively preach to their neighbors each month.

My bible has it a little differently...
13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

It means that is much easier to sin and not follow God (or the narrow way) but sinning will not lead you to "life" which is eternal life with God.

It is a more difficult road to travel, to follow the Lord then the world. meaning our time on earth would be real easy if we did not believe and just went along with everyone else. But to follow the Lord is a long road of persecution and defending yourself and your beliefs. Mind you well worth it!

It means that Mathew made seven runs off thirteen hits, but his fourteen errors means he'd better work on his fielding or he's going to be either traded, or kicked back down to the minors.

I think it's self-explanatory-easy to do what's 'wrong', hard to do what's 'right'....but then, when the book of Matthew describes the Resurrection, it records a bunch of unusual events (including dead rising up from their graves to walk into the nearest 'holy city') that's not found recorded anywhere else

Not everyone's gonna make it to Heaven (eternal life)... only those who obey God's word (Matt 7:21), and unfotunately not many are willing to submit to that.
