THESE ARE THE GUIDE LINES

1. No assumptions. I need facts.

2. Signs dont count. Because you're ASSUMING it's a sign. It could just be a coincidence.

3. Dont replace "I dont know" with, "God did it"

4. Unexplained events dont count because you would be ASSUMING that God did it

5. Your existence doesn't count because you would be ASSUMING that God created you with no facts

6. If you say God showed himself. It would have to be God himself in a physical form and not a hurricane or some

My marraige for one. My wife and I have been following the Bible and it's principles for marraige and after two years I couldn't ask for a better marriage. Life is so much better when you let God lead. But another way is this. I have a Christian Brother who wanted a bus for his ministry. He had saved $600 and went to an auction. Every Bus went for more than that, and he was very disheartened. On his way home he saw a bus on the side of the road with a for sale sign. He went and asked the man how much he was asking. You guessed it $600.00. If you want to believe that is a coincidence you can. Also I know of a pastor who was ministering in a small town and was unhappy with the way things were going. Things got so bad he thought he would just pack up and go home because he wasn't changing lives anyway. So on the way home he stops at a gas station, when he hears the payphone ring. The person on the other side was a suicidal woman who dialed the number because, the number all of a sudden appeared in her head. Her life was saved, his ministry was saved. Once again you can say that that is a coincidence but you are stretching now.

So, let me get this straight:

1. Unexplained events don't count, but the only explanations you'll allow eliminate the possibility of God.

2. God showing himself would qualify, according to your rule 6, but since we'd have to *assume* that the being who appeared truly was God (because it could be a hallucination, or some other person or being lying about its identity), rule 1 is automatically violated.

Honestly, I think a question with mutually exclusive conditions attached is kinda pointless.

You are putting so many restrictions on this question, I doubt if any answer will satisfy you here. Now if I can answer your question with showing that God can help me, will you possibly accept it, or will you simply tighten the rules further?

Here's an answer I gave a few weeks ago and it still justifies my faith. Here's why I don't believe random situations are coincidental when it comes to God answering prayers.
*****************************
I sure do believe in miracles. They just aren't the Moses parting the red sea type of miracles every day.

But I've seen answers to prayers that can only be done by the power of God. I know that not everyone will agree but I know that He lives and reigns!

Example
My husband had a serious medical condition and needed to find a specialist to treat him. During the time we were praying for him at church, he was home surfing the web. Had been for 42 hours straight (only taking a short break to sleep a few hours). As we were praying for him, he found a post on a website that brought him to the doctor who was the pioneer in this type of surgery. I know, because I saw the time on the clock at church when we started to pray and I asked him about when he saw the answer. Almost to the minute of the time of prayer. Coincidental?

My husband is the first documented case of surviving his surgery without the facial paralysis that most people expect to receive. We estimated over 200,000 were praying for him. Coincidental that he has no facial paralysis, yet the 3 others who had the same doctor operate on them that week did have facial paralysis? Coincidental?

Could he have been healed without surgery. Possibly. God doesn't always work by divine healing. He also gives us wisdom and provides other means. Coincidental that he got his own doctor to refer him? Especially since this doctor had done this surgery before? Coincidental that the doctor agreed to refer him to a specialist not normally covered by the insurance?

Coincidental that the insurance worked with us on a $100,000 surgery and provided a way for us to afford this surgery? Especially since we were going out of network, and they covered the surgery as if it were in-network? Coincidental?

Coincidental that he did not have to go back for part 2 of the surgery since the tumor shrunk after surgery (very rare for this medical condition to be done in one surgery)?

Coincidental that he had very little pain in the recovery?

Coincidental that he has had almost no migraines in 7 years when it was almost constant before him?

Coincidental that this tumor still has not returned, even though part of it could not be removed?

Coincidental that the remnant of the tumor died?

Could he have found the doctor otherwise? Possibly, but it seems the odds were pretty coincidental that he found the post almost to the minute we were praying for him, doesn't it?

Coincidental, or God's hand on my husband's life?

Coincidental that the doctor had to admit, it was not medically possible and he had no explanation that he could take back to the medical community on my husband's recovery (back to work after 5 weeks instead of 6 months)?

The combination of all of these factors? Coincidental, or can you doubters finally admit that God just might still be here and working in our lives yet today?

God, per se, never directly helped me or showed himself to me.

I don't believe in the Christian god, although I am quite enthralled with Biblical history.

Examples of outward manifestations of God are impossible to prove. They're like the alien abductions, UFOs, the existance of Bigfoot, and Kansas interstates, confusing, dubious, and subject to great lies and lack of turnabouts.

This is gonna be a long one. But Please read it.

I never had "Faith" and never believed in God. When I was in tenth grade, a friend of mine asked me to come to church with me, and I said no. Eventually I went, because I wanted to social experience. After attending church and youth group for a couple of months, I was asked to accept Jesus, and I said no. A few months later, i went on a church retreat to some big confrence. While there, my youth pastor asked me about my faith and why i didnt believe. I told him that I would need to see it to believe it. That was that. i went into the worship service with about five thousand other people, and stood and watched the lunatics go crazy for God. Then my youth pastor past me a little note. It said "Revalations 3:20, read it NOW, praying for you buddy". I set it aside, and went back to doing nothing. A few minutes later, i felt a tap on my shoulder, i t was my youth pastor, and he told me to read the verse now. I did, this is what it said. "Here I Am. I stand at the door and Knock. If any one hears my voice, and opens the door, I will come in and eat with you, and you with me. I then started singing Open the Eyes of my Heart, a worship song. At that moment, i realized i needed God in my life, and asked Jesus into my heart. At that very moment, I blacked out, and all I could see was a bright white light. I started crying uncontrolably, and left the room. I was confused. It was Jesus entering my heart. IT happens to every christian the moment they accept Christ. That is how I know my God is Real and Alive. Ever since then, i have lost my father, my mom tried to kill herself, and my fiancee broke up with me, among other things. God has helped me through it all, and he is still helping me through my day to day life. I hope you get a lot out of this story, and if you would like help accepting Christ as YOUR savior, send me an email. Jesus_freak_426@yahoo.com.
