divorced for about 15 years or more...she is always asking "WHY" is he like this or that...like i am suppose to know..he is what he is and that's all that he is...that's what i tell her....he is not going to change....he has chosen to live out of state...that was hischoice...she starts crying...and they got a "mutual divorce"...what can i say to help her move-on and not think about him anymore....it was her choice to leave him...and he accepted it...i am trying to be understanding...But what does she really want from me????it is depressing...

Tell her she made her bed lie in it , its been 15 years ..get over it .move on . . Tell her shes welcome to call any time , but your brother is a subject that's not going to discusted , that's what I tell my ex that calls to whine about his gf.

She is still in love with him and you are her only connection. Tell her she needs to move on and that you don't want to be in middle of it anymore. Sorry to say but maybe you should break off the friendship before you loose your brother too.

you gotta be real with this woman. tell you how you feel and what you think.

she probably brought up divorce at the time to see if he would agree and he did. then she did not want to back out because she thought "well, this is what he wants. if he wants it this way, I don't want him to be unhappy with me anymore." in other words, it turned out differently then what she had expected and to this day she regrets ever bringing divorce up to him in the first place

but she chose to do it this way, now she has to live with her decision

Tell her that their history has nothing to do with you and while you feel for her she cannot keep dragging you into her own ancient history. She needs to suck it up and move on or you just can't talk to her any longer. Good luck.

Tell her its not your problem or hers anymore...if she can't deal with it, tell her to check with Dr Phil. Hopefully it doesn't go that far but you get the point.
