unplug it then take it apart to remove the video from inside..... do not touch anything that you cannot or think you cannot put back together again the exact way you found it..... i have removed videos like this a few times and it is fairly straight forward.... if you are in doubt then unplug it from the mains electric and use two knifes to pry it out..... both knifes left and right of it down, push in and up and with an outward movement at same time.... it will always slip out of your grip but keep trying till you get it

That's tough - it really depends on what the vcr is doing with the tape - is it trying to spit the tape out? Is it not making any noise at all? I had a vcr that used to catch the edge of the tape on a tiny piece inside, so I just had to push the door in so I could see it, and use a toothpick or knife to hold the tape up far enough to slide out. I do not recommend pulling it - if the tape is wrapped around the mechanism, you could lose the tape and your vcr. If you can't clearly see the reason for the tape being stuck, take it to your local appliance repair shop - they should be able to remove the cover and remove the tape easily.

Sorry to tell you love, but I think the machine is just old. This happens.First there was beta, vhs, and now dvd.It is time to upgrade. But this is just a conjecture.Blockbuster does not even rent out vhs tapes anymore.I know money does not grow off of trees, but I think your vhs is just old.It could be just the tape though. What I would do is just try and get the tape out first.Unplug it and open it.It is like a puzzle so watch the pieces carefully.Take the tape out and see how the machine operates after that.More than likely, the tape is going to be trashed.

Wow!
I'll hold off on the blonde jokes.
Unplug the vcr, get a screwdriver, take the cover off, you will see the vhs tape, carefully push the tape back out. You might have to lift the plastic lip on vhs tape a bit or wiggle it, it will come out.

Unplug, open up the VCR and take out the tape.
As for the fuzziness, clean the parts(inside the VCR) that the tape touches, with Q-tips with alcohol. They maybe dirty and this will solve the problem.

It is hard to tell unless you tell me the model and type of VHS player. It sounds like the tape broke inside the VCR. You may want to unplug the player and open it up.
