They nag a lot for small stuff. I get in trouble all the time because this female won't back off of me. She acts like she's my mother and trys to talk to me horrible. I put my foot down regardless because I'm not having anyone talk to me like crap. No offense, ladies but I'm a man and I'll be damned if I let a woman talk to me any kind of way. I'm a man first. Soldier second. She's really given me a hard time and she doesn't like being a NCO in charge of me because I won't let her control me. She say stuff, like "Why did you let that door slam like that.", "Why are you doing this, don't do that." I'm like man, can I breathe? Is that o.k.? I don't like feeling like I have to walk on eggshells to please people. Why are so many female sargeants in the Army so nagging especially to other male soldiers once they get in charge? One of the reasons I can't wait to get out of the Army. I don't care what negative comment you respond to my question either. You can say what you want. Don't care!!

Well, I can think of a couple of reasons. One is that you are apparently a macho jerk. And I'm not just basing that on this question. I looked at some of your other questions, and the trend is pretty obvious. The other is I'm sure your female NCO was hazed when she was a junior enlisted herself...they all are to some extent...She's just giving a little pay-back to someone who appears to deserve it.
BTW, I hope you carefully choose where you go to work when you separate. Women are in a lot of management positions these days. Your macho crap won't get you far on the outside either with them.

OK, so all you really wanted to do was let off steam. Now that you've accomplished that, why not use your head instead of your ego to outsmart this female NCO? Being a soldier doesn't mean you have to quit being a man, but it does require you to use your brain and stop giving this NCO reasons to nag you. Think before you act, and don't slam the door. When she nags, simply acknowledge the issue and get on with your rat killing. Get on top of it, man, and beat her at her own game. You can literally drive her crazy with frustration when she realizes she doesn't have anything substantial to nag you about anymore. She'll leave you alone quick enough and go find someone else to irritate. Good luck.

Do what I did when I was in the Marines, tell your NCO that you have an open door policy. If she takes you up on the offer you can beat the crap out of her. Just remember not to do it in front of anyone you will be in charge of ever. I always had an open door policy if people didnt like the way I did stuff when I was an NCO they could knock on my door and we would close the blinds and go at it, if your a disrespectful little turd in front of everyone though everyone will be that way to you when you become an NCO. So learn to walk the line between respect and disdain or your in for a long 4 years.

A. Your wrong, your a soldier first and no matter who your NCO is it is your obligation to respect them.
B. She shouldn't be on you like that for simple things, take it to your EO rep. If she is doing it to you she is probably doing it to someone else.
C. Bad leaders, she probably had bad leaders so she learned from them.
D. She was probably mistreated by male NCO's and stereotypes, just as you are, that all men feel that they are above her and that she needs to be more strict with them. Not all female NCO's act like that. These NCO's need to be spoken to about their attitudes and you do have a right to correct them. Ask if you can speak with her privately. Let her know that you don't appreciate the way she has been speaking to you and let her know that you wanted to bring it to her attention before you take it any farther. If it continues go to EO or your 1st Sergeant.
Good luck and please don't think that every women NCO in the Army acts a fool. She has a past too, she needs to learn how not to take it out on her soldiers. And please don't feel that as a man you should not be talked down to. If you fu*k up man up to it and take your smoking.

it sounds like you are a whinner but if the same crap was given to you by a male sargeant, you would say 'yes sir' and shut your mouth......you have a thing about a female officer telling you what to do and treating you the same way a male officer does in the service. If you were under my command; I would give it to you 10 times harder!
funny how all the macho answers from most replies are similar and from men who have been in the service and claim to be the tough guys they're told to be and yet; a woman officer intimidates them and they start whinning like little babies......name calling, put downs, etc....I would take all you sissies and work you and insult you till you cried and you would not say a thing back to me!.....I have seen more men cry like babies than any of you care to admit. Man up private, and do what YOU decided to do when you joined, quit yer bitchin' and obey your officer and don't ask why.

I had some bittch of a sergeant do the same to me when I was a Marine in 82, the c!nt actually wrote me up for it and I was sent up for battalion office hours which if you were a marine you know how serious that is! Anyways I got off with a $100 fine and I was able to smile at this bittch as I walked out of the colonels office which made it all worth it and she must have got her a$$ chewed on cause she never ****** with me again.

Bro get out of that HHC Co and out of any POG jobs and get in the Infantry or Special Forces if u wanna get away from all the women none there at all no exceptions and u will be free of all the wanna be mothers who get pregnant in Iraq/Afganistan and get to go home early and put the burden on others because she can't say no.

well I was in the Marine Corps and the NCOS are the same way male or female its the rank that makes them feel like they can do that so take with a grain of salt don't worry its all going to suck till you get out then you will laugh your *** off of things you did and miss the dame place

They "earn" their ranks by un-traditional ways. There is no room for females in the military. All they did was cause problems for us when i was over seas. The military should be males only. There is no room for drama in the military. Im sorry you have to deal with such a horrible situation. Try changing MOS's, females arnt allowed in combat arms, go for that.

pay back for all the men that treated her like crap probably, also a power issue, dyke? maybe she hates all penis, i agree w/ Heinz M she should have a baby or get a pet to boss around....i'm a complete alpha female and i feel no need to have to clip someones nads to be in charge there's a way to assert your power with out being a ***** about it, you'll get respect instead of being shot in the back by your own guys.
