It's just another one of his names that doesn't even begin to describe him

Either way is correct.

Christ is not His name but His title - Christ mean "Messiah" in Hebrew, and "Anointed One" from the Greek.

You could even say Jesus the Christ.

So, Jesus Christ, Christ Jesus, or Jesus the Christ - all are correct.

Because Christ is a title... not a last name.

Unfortunately people do not know enough about the Bible, God and Jesus and assume that Jesus H. Christ is His full name.

He is Jesus, the Christ.

Jesus Christ is not His name. Christ means Messiah, or Savior.
The word, or title, 'Messiah' comes before the Name in the original texts.
Therefore Christ (Savior) Jesus is more accurate than the reverse.

Christ means messiah. I guess its probably because of the translations from Greek to English places Christ before Jesus. Its still the same thing, though.

They referred to Jesus of Nazareth as Christ which was a Greek title meaning the anointed one, that is the selected one. Kings and priests were anointed with sanctified oil to mark them as special. I truly doubt that the Aramaic/Hebrew speakers who made up his early disciples and followers would have referred to him in this way. When Paul performed his coup and subverted Peter and threw out James the Thunderer I can see how his Greek upbringing would have coloured the way he talked about someone he did not ever meet as well as his view of women in the church he stole.

Because Jesus was a Christ. Christ is a noun, not a last name.

Jeesh...and I'm a Pagan even.

He was the Christ, the Saviour and Jesus was just another name. Like if your name is Jim Hansen, someone may say to you Hey, Hansen. Custom of the day.

Because in the Greek New Testament "Christ" comes first in his name because it means "Messiah" and it modifies "Jesus" his name. So, read it as: Messiah Jesus.

His name is Jesus, but "Christ" was his "title". It also depends on what Bible you read. Some are more modern in their terminology. Christ means "the annointed" in Hebrew.
