no, they are unrelated species. you don't need to be fertilised to produce an egg (or periods wouldn't exist). eseentially, your lovebird has reached puberty, that's all.

If the mate died greater suitable than 2 or 3 days in the past, and she or he hasn't mated with the recent poultry, any eggs isn't fertile and you will possibly as properly throw them out. If the 1st egg is fertile (from now on cant' be) and she or he has a nest field, she might incubate it. because she has no mate to do 0.5 the sitting, you are able to probable get some toddler poultry formulation and supply her that (moist or dry, inspite of the undeniable fact that she likes it) alongside with primary nutrition so she would have the ability to no longer could spend plenty time ingesting. this will additionally help while the chick is extremely small and can't be left on my own interior the nest. yet i'm guessing that the mate died greater suitable than 3 days in the past and she or he would have the ability to no longer lay a fertile egg. save her separated from the recent male, yet interior the comparable room, so they are able to get familiar without scuffling with. Later possibly they are able to mate.

No it's not possible but it was your love bird that laid the egg so no it won't be fertile cause she needs a male to be in the same cage.If your parakeet did then it's a cross breed lol

Lovebirds and budgies CANNOT produce chicks together. Your lovebird laid an egg because ANY female bird can lay eggs with or without a partner. Don't remove her egg. She wants a certain number of eggs, then she'll sit on them. Don't remove them until she abandons (stops sitting on them altogether) them. Give her paper to shred so she can build a 'nest'. Good Luck

Females can lay eggs without having bird "relations". Don't know about lovebirds, but I know you don't take the egg away for a parakeet until it would have hatched (3 weeks I think). If you take it away, she'll only lay another one and it'll eventually make her ill/weak and could kill her. Call a vet that deals with avian animals

look female birds can lay egg with a male but the eggs will not hatch unless the male bird fertilizes the eggs.

No they cannot crossbreed. All female birds lay eggs, just like chickens. She would need to be in contact with a male lovebird to be fertile. You can eat it or throw it away, lol.

probably isent fertile, but worth a try! If you pet her by the base of the tail, she will get um.. exited and start laying eggs. This happened to my birds Casey and Peaches even though they had never seen boy birds in their lives.

Probably not...female birds lay eggs all the time. If she isn't sitting on it, don't worry it won't hatch. If she is, it still may not be viable & may not hatch!
