John called for a taxi. The taxi came to pick him up. "Take me to Mt. Rushmore." John told the driver. John kept talking talking and talking and wouldnt shut up. The driver looked in his rearview mirror and said "Excuse me son...I cant hear a word your saying bcuz im deaf." When the reached John's destination...John got out. He soon realized...the driver wasnt deaf!! How did John know this??

He was too deaf. He read his lips to get Mt. Rushmore, then saw the fool jabbering away in the rearview mirror. He was very glad to be deaf at that point.

b/c the driver heard the destination correctly. But as a partially deaf person, I must say that alot of times I can hear someone just fine if I'm looking at them and not well at all if I'm not looking at them. Looking at who I want to hear helps me "filter" out the other noise around me and I can focus on who I want to hear.
