The fact that your are referring to your beloved as "the girl" may be an indicator that your relationship with her is not as close as you might think. Don't get me wrong, you may feel love towards her, but if she's not on the same page, she may not reciprocate in the way you would anticipate. Still, this should not stop you from expressing your feelings to "the girl." However, just understand that once you do, this might drastically change the dynamics of the relationship. Especially, if your relationship with her is not realistically at that level.

Instead of laying your heart out on the line, perhaps start by giving her flowers or a card, or spending time with her. Tell her how much you enjoy spending time with her. Be attentive to her and learn everything about her - her likes and dislikes. Listen to her and be there for her.

Eventually, your relationship will be at a place where saying "I love you" will come as naturally as breathing. And when the time comes, be sincere and honest, expecting nothing in return except the satisfaction of knowing you have told her your feelings.

Make sure you are dating her first. You can feel a strong feeling of love for someone sometimes without even dating her. Don't let it out too soon, it will ruin things. If you are already dating her, make sure you two have at least bonded... kissed... gone out on a romantic dinner... danced... something. Never tell a girl you have a crush on that you love her thats' for sure.

A smooth way to start out after some kissing and a few weeks would be to say "you know what?" she says "what?" then you say "I think I love you"... it lets it out but not enough so that it ruins the moment. That has worked for me, and it's easy to say.

Being a girl myself I can tell you that I always wanted to hear it long before the guy ever said it.

You have to have some idea if she cares about you too. Just try to be sincere, speak from the heart, and DON'T say it during sex.

The best words are the direct truth, I love you. She probably feels the same way and is waiting on you to say it first. Just wait until you are alone together and comfortable and say it, "I love you"....some things in life are worth taking risks for. Love is one of them.

Flowers with a poem or song telling her how you feel would make her feel really special and it would be very romantic. Or a card or something is good too but I would definitely use flowers however you do it. Every girl loves flowers! Good luck! =]

My best advice to you is just tell her that you love her. If she laughs in your face or puts you down, then she was never meant for you. If that does happen, don't take it to heart. It's a big ocean, and there are plenty of fish in it that haven't been caught yet.

That's not love, it's lust..love is when you spend everyday with the person you have commited to. Love isn't the same as like...just ask her out but don't say you love her right away because it'll freak her out.

You can say I Love You in person or you can write it in a card, which will eliminate an embarrassing moment and give her time to think about it before she has to answer you.
