I am a bi-racial woman and I date white and hispanic guys. I am married to a black guy now and he hates it that I used to date white and hispanic guys. He asked me if we ever broke up would I date another black guy and I said I would go back to white or hispanic guys and he got all mad at me and said that I act white anyways. How is it that a person acts white? I feel that you should date what ever makes you happy. What do you all think?

I think you're 100% right! I am a black woman and even though I use to date black men about 7 years ago. I now only date white and hispanic men myself. It's my preference. I think the reason black men hate it when black women date outside of our race is because they feel a sense of betrayal, even though alot of them seem to have no problem with dating white women. But it's not all black men that feel that way, but a great percentage hate it.

What he means when he says that you act white is that you DO NOT act ghetto. You display some level of adult intellect and not feel the need to "show out". You act like a normal human being an not a person who feels the need to let the world know she is a particular race, color, creed, or sexual orientation.
Date who ever makes you happy. I hope that you husband treats you well aside from his remarks.

I get that a lot also. My friends think I only date white and Latin guys when that is not the case. You can not help who you are attracted to. I do not look at race if I am feeling you and you are feeling me then what is the problem. My current guy is Latin and I do not see the problem. To each is on

You just happen to be married to an insecure black man with very low esteem. For warned: You have a potential problem person on your hands. Take care.

i am also bi-racial and was married to a black man. now i dont date so many, just because we dont seem to have enough in common usually. it really disturbed my former husband to think that he was competing against a larger range of types of men...so i think the pure numbers of your possibilities for who you are can be intimidating. logically, he cant claim that you are racist, we are all just people with our personal inclinations and preferences.
