The coolest thing about NYC is that shopping is everywhere. My favorite thing to do is to start at Zabars on Broadway and 80th, have a good breakfast of the best bagels (H&H) and lox in th world (don't forget their coffee - puts Starbucks to shame). Then walk all the way down to the village (80 blocks) - with maybe a pass through Chinatown, too, if you have the time. If you want to do some high priced shopping/window shopping, cross over to Madison avenue around 45th. As you walk you'll see a gazillion little stores, not just national chains.
For dinner, go to Lombardi's for Pizza (32 Spring St
(212) 941-7994) , Chocolate Haven
350 Hudson ((at King St.) (212-414-2462)) for chocolate,
and Cones (272 Bleecker St. (Seventh Ave. S.)
212-414-1795) for ice cream.

Everyone goes to Century 21 sooner or later for the great bargains. J&R in the same area for electronics. What are you shopping for and what is an acceptable price-per-piece? We can help you better if we knew what you wanted.
