I am asking this because i swam with my bikini at my gym and all the women in the changing room seem to be staring at me. Then i noticed that rest of them were wearing one piece swimming costume.

1. Very nice. You are not only worth looking at by the males, but females appreciate a nice body as well.

2. If you are not breaking any rules at rhe pool, wear what you like. The fashion police won't pick you up.

3. Maybe some of those women wearing full suits are hiding stretch marks, scars from surgery, overly modest, or are sheep. Who knows.

4. If someone approaches you about it. Just say, "You must not be familiar with the pool rules. Bikinis are perfectly acceptable. You can wear yours, too. Have fun." Then leave to wherever you were on your way to.

Maybe they were jealous?

When working out a one piece suit is more common and practical. A suit like a speedo is especially designed for fitness swimming.

It's kind of like the difference between wearing basketball sneakers or plain tennis shoes at the gym? If you are just screwing round and having fun it doesn't really matter what kind of sneakers you wear. If you are seriously training for the sport, it's good to have the right kind of gear.

If you are comfortable in your bikini and it's working for you, it doesn't really matter what those ladies think anyway. If you are thinking about training for a swim team and getting really serious about your workout - you'll find that a competitive one-piece suit is a must.

well, if you would feel more comfortable wearing a one-piece like all the other women, you should. but if you feel ok wearing your bikini, don't let the stares bother you. Why does it matter to them what type of bathing suit you wear, as long as you're appropriately covered...

As far as I'm concerned, it would be perfectly acceptable for you and only you to swim in the buff. Those other ladies need to get their back-hairs waxed before even thinking about anything but a one piece.

NO! It's perfectly alright to wear your bikini. But make sure you have the body for it, which is maybe why the other ladies were starring.

They should be grateful you wore one. I have seen Scandinavian women swim topless and these women should have been wearing many many clothes. Sorry ladies, That is not a slur on all Scandinavian ladies, just a few.

I might not be the one to answer this question. I do not consider myself a prude, but I think bikini's display too much where ever they are.

Those other ladies must be trying to hide something. I generally go topless, but I'm an old guy so nobody notices.
