This is a joke targeting at Chinese and Japanese and is not exactly a question.
Chinese choose their children's names by selecting characters they like or they think will bring good luck and prosperity. Some even consult fortune-tellers (like astrologists in the west but they do not necessarily study only stars but also one's name / birthday / palms / face).
Two very popular characters for a female is "Mei" and "Ling". 'Mei' 美 means 'beauty / beautiful' and 'Ling' 玲 means 'witty / intelligence"
