Don't worry. You'll be fine. As far as your social life goes, first impressions really do last - a long time.
Stick to your morals. If doing something bad is cool right now and you actually do it, when it's not cool anymore, you'll be stuck with consequences.
Be kind to your teachers because you may need them for letters of recommendation for jobs, community service programs, scholarships, or acceptance into college.
Don't snub anyone. You never know who could turn out to be a great friend.
Don't let anyone snub you. Stand up for yourself. If you don't, then people will deem you "uncool" and everyone will diss you.
Think for yourself. It's a big world out there. If people call a particular student uncool, don't go blindly go with the common belief. Be nice to that person.
If kids at your school think learning is for losers, know that they are wrong. Learn as much as you can. Your grades really are important. It is the first thing colleges look at (if you are planning on going) You will thank yourself later.
Don't just take random classes. Get with your guidance counselor about a graduation plan.
Good luck and God bless!

You are going to make so many memories! And then you are going to wonder where all that time went! I am going to be in my 3rd year of college already and I just can't believe it..it feels like I was just in high school yesterday! I wouldn't worry about it at all...Just remember to stay true to yourself. And the saying "don't fall into the wrong crowd" is absolutely true...You will see many people that change throughout your high school years..some for the good and some for the worse! Dont be surprised! What the one girl said about being nice to your teachers is soooo true if you plan to go to college...there are some teachers that I was kinda mean/disrespectful too (haha they probably deserved it) but I did not go to them for my letters of recommendation, that's for sure. I did have many teachers I really liked though too...a couple even came to my grad party! They were awesome so I thought that was pretty neat! Ok well I am rambling but good luck and don't worry about a thing! You will have a GREAT time! ps join everything!! for ex...i wish i wouldve signed up for volleyball in 9th grade so i could've played all 4 years but by 11th grade i knew i would never make the varsity team because i didn't have enough experiance! so do everything you want to do because it goes by so quickly! k i'm done ;)
