…if it’s ok for us to kill each other when we disagree about what people might have said about you thousands of years ago?

Thank you, just wondering.

Dear Rockvillerich,

Yes of course it is, did you know that I God am the greatest mass murderer in history.

References: Genesis 6:11-17 and Genesis 7:11-24
Some examples:

GE 6:13 - And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

GE 6:17 - And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.

Also, did you know that I God allowed women raped and your little children slaughtered.

From my Bible - Isaiah 13:15-18

“Anyone who is captured will be run through with a sword. Their little children will be dashed to death right before their eyes. Their homes will be sacked and their wives raped by the attacking hordes. For I will stir up the Medes against Babylon, and no amount of silver or gold will buy them off. The attacking armies will shoot down the young people with arrows. They will have no mercy on helpless babies and will show no compassion for the children.”

You take care,
God

Brenda's World: How any decent person can believe and follow the Bible is beyond imagination, seems like religious people just ignore the bits they dislike and twist the rest into a happy delusion, much like the behaviour of drug addicts.

For what it's worth "love your neighbor as yourself" has very little meaning when so few people love themselves..

When fundamentalist Muslims preside over us all, there is little room for middle ground. You have to pick sides. The commie left in the US and around the world seems to be siding with the muzzies.

I don't adhere to the doctrine of "turning the other cheek" I am a human and if someone attacks me or my country I will kick their s&sholes back to the stone age.

BTW the doctrine of jesus is love your neighbor, it's hard to do that when the don't reciprocate. So I guess well be human.
it's not a matter of disagreeing, its a matter of reality and preservation of our own existence.

He has told us. Most don't listen; and the few who claim to listen just use him as an excuse to do what they want anyway: "They will put you out of the synagogues; yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers God service. And these things they will do to you because they have not known the Father nor Me." (John 16:2-3)

He has already spoken......but as always our single mindedness and greed are more important than His decree. He will judge all.

The truth is mankind is not so kind and we reap the harvest of our actions.

On the other hand it is our duty to protect ourselves, our family and our country. We cannot just sit back and allow tyranny to go unchecked.

Well, I'm not a male deity who insists on people only worshiping and acknowledging me, but he seems to be all for it, despite the 'Thou shall not kill' commandment. I mean, you only have to read a few pages of the Old Testament to find examples of this 'loving deity' practicing or approving of mass murders of some group of people unfortunate enough not to be 'one of them' (of course, there are a few times when young, pretty girls could be handed out to the soldiers-I believe they were called 'virgins')

Well, obviously you don't know the 10 commandments. God answered that question a LONG time ago. Thou Shalt Not Kill.

I don't think there were any footnotes on that one.

Funny, the christians keep repeating the 10 Commandments in reference to this question, but they always tell me that the OT has been overturned.

Hypocrisy anyone?

Get on your knees and clear your mind and pray to God He will let you know.

I see what you are talking about and I get it. In the Commandments it says "Thou shall not kill", but we do it anyway. We do not acknowledge those commandments when it comes to our afflictions.
