Just asking for a prayer for my Elle. Property dispute going on. Our attorney had papers served 2 days ago..Now my Elle 9months old was shot at 7a central time. As of 12noon today. She is just now getting stable enough to take xrays. Bullet lodged. Dont know damage yet until she is stable enough for surgery. Vet said, its min by min. Time now is 105pm. Texas . The drive to vet was 45 mins. Tongue, Gums, Mouth cold, and barely breathing. Vet said it was shock. Dont know of internal damage till surgery. No exit wound. ok vet just called, she is a gr8 deal of pain. stable enough for surgery. 1.28pm. going into surgery. Hardest part, to answer, the question asked."if so much damage is done, permission not to wake her". My heart is breaking for my Elle girl.

I am praying for you and Ellie... The same horrible thing happened to my dog...I learned that it is illegal to shoot any dog, even if it is on your property, unless the shooter can produce proof that the dog was causing physical harm to person or livestock...A vet has to confirm any claimed harm to livestock....DO report them to your local Humane society, Sheriff and County animal control... It is pre-meditated animal cruelty.
Please keep us informed on her progress...You certainly have my prayers.

I honestly hope she is going to be fine...how sad!
In the meantime, contact law enforcement in your local area and file a report. I would contact both the police/sheriff and your local humane society/ASPCA/Animal Control and file a report. The ASPCA (not sure what the organization is called in your area) can and will make an arrest if animal cruelty is determined.
Also ask your vet for a letter explaining what happened, procedures done, costs and the cause of her injury (if a bullet is removed give it to the police or the animal welfare organization in your area as evidence). File this information with the report if you can. If your dog did not attack your neighbor first, attempt to prosecute to the fullest extent of the law!
Harming an animal for no apparent reason is disgusting...

I'm so sorry. Your neighbors must be terrible people. I will pray for Elle. I have never had such a crisis in my life, but I know I would be devastated if something happened to my doggies. I truly hope that Elle will be okay. And if the worst should come, know that God will take awful good care of her until you are reunited.

OMG, KILL THE NEIGHBOR!!! I am soooo sorry about your dog. I really hope that she will be ok. I have had my share of violence directed at dogs I loved. My dog was hit by a car and we never found out who killed her. You have the chance to make them pay! I would give anything for the chance to avenge my dog's death! After she died, before I got another dog, I was very close to the neighbors dog, Sadie. Her owner wasent often home, and I would go over and feed her treats and give her love for hours. a few weeks later, the idiot two doors down shot her in the head. She lived, though! What I wouldent give to know who killed my dog... DONT LET THEM GET AWAY WITH IT! Elle is in my prayers. Heres a thought, give PETA your neighbor's address and see what happens!

I am so sorry. I hate it when pets are in distress. I hope everything turns out ok. I would call the ASPCA or the animal cruelty unit in the nearest city if you have not already. I know they have one. That is just terrible. How would your neighbor like it if you shot him? Jerk-off! I will pray for Elle. Good luck.

I live in Texas too. Call the S.P.C.A. & your local sheriff's dept. or police & report these idiots. My heart goes out to you & you & Ellie will be in my prayers. I am so sorry this happened. Some people are just selfish, cruel & totally heartless. I will pray for Ellie & you. God Bless you & her. Please, I know you are in pain & so is Ellie but for both of your sakes, don't let these idiots get away with this. Texas is pretty tough on animal abusers. Find a lawyer who specializes in animal cases. There are alot of them now a days. Good luck.

My heart goes out to you!!! Think of Elle- if she would not have much of a life it would be better to put her to sleep. She would be out of pain. Poor Elle, I hope your neighbor serves some time of jail time for this horrible act they have committed. My thoughts are with you and Elle!!
