What is it within their religion that Muslim extremists feel gives them justification for killing people?

Why do they feel that their religion gives them the power to kill innocent people, blow up buildings, and try to overthrow the U.S.?

Please don't come back with a response of "well all religions do that." I know they do; Christians learned their lessons in the Crusades, Jews do it with Israel, etc. We're all guilty of it. But why is Islamic fundamentalism so violent and targeted towards the innocent and an overthrow of America?

The answer is political, not religious. Islam has no interest in the overthrow of America or killing of innocents: America is targeted because of our involvement (meddling) in Middle Eastern politics and support of Israel. "Innocents" are targeted as a political tool, in much the same way that the IRA bombed innocent people in Ireland and England in order to achieve political freedom from the UK. Although IRA bombings were seen as Catholic/ Protestant fighting, the fighting was over politics, not really religion. The religious factor came about because the English "rulers" were Protestant.

Islam is a true and pure religion but you are not opening your eyes and looking around you by putting all muslims in one category, first of all you can't be a muslim if you wanna harm the innocent and secondly educate yourself about how these so called terrorists will be punished for their evil acts according to islam. and don't you think that american muslims have been murdered along with the other innocent americans?

According to Islam, if a muslim does more good than bad, he MIGHT be saved. However if a muslim dies in battle with an infidel then Allah will reward the muslim with eternal paradise.

muslims are not guaranteed salvation, its only a chance. however if they kill an infidel or are killed by an infidel then they have a 100% chance of going into Paradise where they will spend an eternity in sensual pleasure - according to the koran
