Theres this beautiful girl i have known for a while and i am really starting to like her. she lives about 100 miles away during the summer, but about 100 feet away when college starts ;-) I talk to her on AIM almost every night, just chatting (she is always the one to IM me first if that makes a difference), and we hang out together sometimes. She is a great person, but I dont want to be just friends. What can i do to get her to feel attracted to me? (no its not that im ugly) She is always getting hit on and asked out by lots of guys, so i really need to be unique and to stand out as "the one."

First, thank you everyone for the input, i really appreciate it. But the type of advice Mike Jones gave is what i think i am looking for. I dont think just telling her how i feel is such a good idea, because she has guys telling her they have feelings for her all the time. I need to stand out. What i really want is to make HER want ME, that way I have control of the situation. I have never felt this way about a girl before. Yeah i have been in love before, but all my other relationships have started with the girl wanting to be with me first, so im not really experienced in doing the chasing.
So far, i have been waiting for her to contact me in order to avoid looking desperate (and she does contact me, every night). I think that is the right thing to do. What else can i do to get her to really want to be with me, as in, exclusively?

You got yourself in two of the most stickiest situations all wrapped up in one. She's extremely hot & you got yourself stuck into "Let's be friends" kind of thinking(at least in her opinion, which matters the most).
Let's see here, start with acting like a lover. Don't like flirt with her or seduce with her right away. First, you just have to avoid these four things.
1.)NEVER ALLOW HER TO TALK ABOUT THE OTHER GUYS SHE IS DATING. That makes you into some kind of like girlfriend. NO GOOD!
2.)Don't be there 24/7. That's what friends are for, but NOT LOVERS!
3.)NEVER "just hang out" with her & do typical boring stuff. There must be planning envolved with whatever you do with her.
4.)Don't spill your guts. Keep it inside you. If you want to, make her curious about the embarassing stuff and all that but NEVER tell her. She'll come back ever time wanting to know more.
After a while, she may send you signals(hope you know what they are). And then people are going to be asking her, "Hey, are you two going out?" Then it will get into her head. "Hey, I think I like him. He is totally fun to hang out and everything and it wouldn't hurt to go out with him".
Best part is that this is already dating, even though it's not "official".
Oh ya, don't tell a beautiful girl that you have feelings for her. Turns them off, no matter whatever the other women who have answered say. And for the person who said play cocky/funny role, he is sort of correct. YOU HAVE TO PLAY cocky AND funny. If you play just funny, she'll think you are too goofy. If you play just cocky, it will annoy the hell out of her.

Just be yourself and tell her how you really feel. Most likely she feels the same way just waiting for you to make the move. If she is getting hit on by guys left and right and she is focusing her attention on you and not them then that should tell you something. You have to pay attention to small details like that. hope it turns out okay. Good luck.

I'd say just relax and be who you always are :)
If you over do it (ex. calling her 50 times a day, trying to help her with EVERYTHING) you'd seem sort of desperate of the sort and maybe make her feel like you're obsessed. But don't under do it, then she won't think you care.
I'm sure she likes you too, and yes if she IMs you first it makes a *little* difference, because that shows that she wants to talk to you ^^

Just be yourself around her. Every girl likes a guy with self confidence who isn't afraid to be himself. If things are going well, maybe ask her to hang out with you sometime. Find out what kind of things she likes, then do something related to what she likes. Just be natural, and dont try to hard. Good luck!

You need to play the cocky/funny role rather well. Never let your self slip on to the friends ladder or you might be screwed.
But at some point your going to have to let her know how you feel...because miscommunication is not going to work in this situation.

Look get her alone at like a park our something you know ask her just to hang out then at the right time just say "Look i know we just friends but i relly like you and i was wondering if you wanted to go out some time" Then there you go

From a beautifullllll gurl myself, i would send her some signal's(flirting wise) tell her how you feel in a letter or online. It's always better to do it face2face though. Or you could send her things signed as a secret admire. Then after about a week, confess an dsay it was you all along!! ;) You're very welcome!!:)

So far so good......Just continue to be nice, friendly, respectful and, for heavens sakes, don't start any kind of sexual talk!!! Girls hate that. It is tacky....just read this Yahoo stuff. It also is based on chemistry......just be a nice guy and don't over do it and become a pest!
