Gift certificate to Best Buy. Best Buy has all the stuff boys like. Movies, games, music. Can't go wrong.

My 13 year old boy loves gift cards to the movies or Old Navy, etc or cash. It's hard to buy a video game unless you know exactly what they want...same with music.

If he's into computor games or ps2/xbox etc then a game or token for a game shop. If he's into music then put some credit onto an mp3 site so he can legally downlaod his fave tunes.

my son will be 12 Sunday and when I ask what he wanted he said,"something Cool!" When i ask what 12 year old boys think is cool he said a "build ur own" skateboard

if you were in southern California i would say take him to a Medieval Times show. but generally, a trip to somewhere he really wants to go, is a winner
