Dam still no answer to the Why? Why do we need a guest worker program then if we don't want them? Why?

Dear Perrito,
They don't want them but need them, guest worker is the same as an illegal, they work the jobs that americans won't do because of pay or type of work. You need people to fill in the gap, who better than willing hard working people, where should we get them from.... you tell me.

Who says we need a guest worker program? I never said that! If businesses, corporations, and the government think we need a guest worker program, then that is because they want the cheap labor. However, if that labor was being forced to pay for all the social services they use when here, then the employers would have to pay them a decent rate of pay for that labor. In that case, why bother bringing the labor in from other countries? Just hire the American citizens and legal immigrants who are already here and would be quite willing to do these jobs if the wages weren't unfairly depressed by the hiring of illegal immigrants. If illegal immigrants had to play on the same playing field as citizens and legal immigrants, they would NOT be able to get and maintain the jobs because they would not be able to compete. The employers only want them for the CHEAP SLAVE LABOR, and not to keep prices down for consumers, but to pocket the savings, themselves!

I don't want a guest worker program either. It's just another form of amnesty.
The illegals should go home and apply to get in.

We don't need a guest worker program (aka amnesty) here! I know of many good Americans that can't find work because the illegals take them all!

This is my theory.If they secure the border they will stop most illegal immigrants from coming over.This "guest worker" program is a way for Bush and the other ppl that want/need them here to still have their illegal immigrants,only in a legal way.

No guest worker program, if they come in on guest worker program, when their job or time is up they won't go home anyway, would you go home to no job.

UNLESS THEY ARE FROM MEXICO
(if you add this last line (from Mexico, or anywhere else for that matter) then you are simply a racist, no ifs and or buts).
Of course, Republicans are racists, they just don't admit it. They don't want to let other people into the US because they have this delusion that the US is nice and perfect just the way it is and that immigrants would screw everything up, even though history has proven that immigrants always make it better and better.

People would not be so mad if the immigrants came in to the US the lawful way. Why sneak and risk your life in the desert or the mountians when you can legally come here. The people that are illegal are just stealing from us what we work hard for.. The simple fact is if you want to come here then do it right.....and there will be no problems....
