I want to raise money for a local school for children with disabilities, what do i need, and how do i get started, such as finance and sponsers etc. All help is greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

Have an open day or garden party (sounds posher). My school used to have garden parties and the parents would all set up some fund raising thing and compete to see who could make the most cash for the school. My dad just had a ladder, buckets and some tennis balls. All you had to do was throw the balls in the buckets and win a prize. It was easy - if like me you practised a lot and had been doing it for years. The punters would see how easy I did it and then part with their cash and find out it wasn't quite as easy as I made it look! LOL Happy days... Maybe that was the start of many scams! All in a good cause of course!

ask the lottery fund. local prisons do a lot of charity work. local churches fetes scouts. get business' to donate a computer and raffle it off, contact the local paper. even in todays cynical age there are people who would bend over backwards to help

Fill out the questionaire and see if maybe your school qualifies for any grants. Make sure you specify you're with a school for kids with disabilities.

some thing i know off hand is hp ice cream give out free ice cream advisting boards and littke sppons cups for ice cream to help you fon raise think its on web site

you could do a raffle and get people to donate prizes, or have a carboot sale charge people to sell there stuff on the school site
