I have been planning a vacation midway through september to visit family in virginia. I will be arriving at the Dulles International Airport in D.C. With the recent events raising the terrorist alert to severe, i'm kinda afraid of going on this vacation. What do you think?

Where are you flying from? As of this moment, the terror alert is still at "elevated" here in the US, with the only "severe" status being on flights coming in from England.

I think that flying will be a pain, but you can't let it stop you from vacationing. Just make sure you brush up on the packing guidelines before you pack and be very aware of what's around you.

Good luck to you in whatever you decide! : )

Do not allow terrorists to dictate your life. I'm flying next week, and I'm not afraid. The security in airports is unbelievably tight - don't change your plans. Things will most likely be back to normal by Sept. anyway.

Enjoy your vacation!

That is a difficult decision. If it were me, I would fly. For one, I would not want to let those pieces of sh!t mess up my vacation and two if everyone starts cancelling their flights, it will hurt the economy. Good luck with your decision.

It should be just fine! I like B/WI Airport better but that is supposed to be for flights coming in and out of Britain or something like that, they are just taking precations in America. So you should be fine! Especially if you already bought the tickets.

Go ahead and live your life! Don't be afraid of being blown up! Heck you might get killed in a car wreck on the way home from work, does that stop you from driving?
