Gridiron Potato Dip
2 cups frozen Ore-Ida Mashed Potatoes (firmly packed)
1 cup milk
½ cup light or regular ranch salad dressing
½ cup plum tomatoes, chopped
½ cup red, orange and/or yellow bell peppers, chopped
¼ cup pitted Kalamata or ripe olives, chopped
¼ cup red onion or chives, chopped
¼ teaspoon each salt and freshly ground black pepper, or to taste
PREPARATION:
Prepare potatoes according to package directions using 1 cup milk for 6 minutes in microwave (3-4 minutes on stovetop). Stir remaining ingredients into potatoes; cover and chill at least 2 hours before serving.
Serve with pita or bagel chips and fresh vegetable dippers, such as wedges of bell peppers, carrots and celery sticks. Makes 3 cups.
Yakitori
2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast
2 dozen green onions
Marinade:
1/2 cup sake
1/2 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
1 tablespoon sugar
Short bamboo or other skewers
The Yakitori Recipe begins with the marinade.
To prepare the marinade, combine the sake, soy sauce, ginger and sugar in a medium bowl and set aside.
Cut the chicken into 1" cubes, approximately, and add to the marinade. Marinate the chicken in the refrigerator for about 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
In the meantime, trim the green onions and cut them into 1 1/2" pieces.
Remove the chicken from the marinade, reserving the liquid for basting. Alternately thread the chicken and green onions onto the skewers. (About three each makes a nice size hors d'oeuvre; you can cover the ends with foil so they won't burn.)
Place the skewers on a broiler pan and broil, basting often and turning occasionally, until the chicken is just cooked through, about 6 minutes. Serve hot. Makes about 24 appetizers.
Skinny Dip
3 cups low-fat cottage cheese
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon dill weed or dried cilantro
1/2 teaspoon celery salt
1/4 teaspoon turmeric
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Salt to taste
In a blender or food processor, blend all ingredients, except the salt, until smooth.
Taste, adding salt only if necessary.
Transfer to a serving bowl and garnish with extra paprika and dill weed, if desired. Chill before serving.
Serve with assorted fruit and vegetable dippers and crackers. Makes about 3-4 cups.
Variation:
Substitute 1 cup finely chopped mango for the dill, celery, and turmeric.
Bombay Punch
2 cups fresh squeezed lemon juice
Powdered sugar or simple syrup to taste
3 cups brandy
3 cups dry sherry
1/3 cup maraschino
1/3 cup orange liqueur
3 750-ml.bottles champagne
40 ounces club soda
Ice mold
Chill all ingredients well before mixing. Sweeten the lemon juice to taste with sugar or simple syrup. Transfer to a punch bowl. Stir in the brandy, sherry, maraschino, and orange liqueur. Add the champagne and club soda last. Stir. Float an ice mold. If desired, garnish with slices of orange or lemon. Makes 40 servings.
Spiced Roasted Almonds
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter
2 tablespoons Worcestershire
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
3 cups whole almonds
Coarse salt to taste
Melt the butter in a medium-size saucepan. Stir in the spices. Add the Worcestershire sauce and the nuts. Stir until the almonds are well-coated with the butter mixture.
Turn the nuts out onto a shallow baking sheet (no need to grease it) and roast the nuts in a preheated 350° oven for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Transfer to a serving bowl and toss with the coarse salt.
Serve warm, or if you prefer, cool the nuts and store them in an airtight container for up to 3 weeks. Makes 3 cups.

Definitely go for a phallic pasta dish. It'll be fun and most of them are pretty good. Also for drinks, go for the risque names - Screaming Orgasm, Screwdriver etc. You can also make a body shaped cake and strategically place a marachino cherry after she sees it for the first time. ( my mom's friend did this to her at her 40th, it was hilarious, 'cause she didn't know for a looooong time!) Or a phallic cake is always fun too.

Have your local bakery make you an "angel-devil cake." One half of the cake is white and decorated with angel stuff, the other half is red and decorated with devil stuff -- it will be a fun and tasty treat for all to enjoy!
