Why do twits continue to use their God as an excuse???

Question

If more individuals would READ the words of their savior, messiah, founder, etc. their actions would be blasphemous, yet they claim it is condoned by GOD. Right now, the current religious-political leaders (and other terrorists) in the middle east are prime examples. I KNOW the Q'uran does NOT condone their actions. Neither does the Torah. Christ would be absolutely appalled by the petty-mindedness and bigotry of his followers. Could Buddha hold his head up with delight? Doubtful. What is most depressing is that there are many believers who DO follow the words of their God, but they are pushed aside as not understanding the TRUE desires of their deity. Why blame a God or a devil when in truth it is our own fear, greed and bigotry that is the source of war and virtually all other ills that befall the human race? Why won't we accept responsibility for our own actions. God (or Satan, for that matter) didn't make us do it--WE did.

u know this is the best question i have seen yet . i went into this question thinking that this would be another atheist bashing my faith but u really put the hammer on the nail on this good job. and have u noticed not many Christians have even chimed in on this question? well i am a christian but i feel the same as u do. it's the bigots that every one remembers not the good ones. look at Muslims for example there are so many very loving Muslims out there that just want to live in peace but because the tourist claim to be Muslim every body thinks they are the same way as this. now Christians are the same way but Christians today use that hell threat way to much have u ever noticed that there are over 300 diff domination's in the USA alone but all them say the other will be in hell but seem to forget Jesus himself said he who is without sin cast the first stone. a sinner saying another is going to hell is like a terrorist telling another he is bad lol
but the answer to your question is they use god as an excuse to make them feel better at the end of the day so they don't have to live with what they did at the end of the day

very true
but some people find it very easy to interpret words from their holy books and read as they wish..take if from this everyday example...someone nicks your pen or your money 1st thing u wana do is smash their face in and most time we either are violent back or atleast exchange a few heated words, now if we also were relgious in the mind, we wouldnt retaliate with such hostility we would know what the other person did was wrong and try to correct their ways rather than lunge at them, i dont think any prophet would do that.
so if we do see a few people bombing a place or killing loads of ppl its their retaliation....to a larger scale.....

Good points. This world would be a better place if people took responsibility for their own actions. Yet, we were given free will, and that means we can try to use God as a scapegoat.

in spite of everything i imagine, in case you favor to have God's blessing all situations the more effective acceptable element of do is to make as a lot of human beings to loving you. nicely, God is there and watcing, and he's giving merely on the right time when you requested Him for something, I say that with self assurance yet i recognize thats sounds slightly too a lot, because maximum of persons receives no longer something, or -to my meaning- they merely cant keep in mind that they get. I advise they do no longer see it. God on the most helps you spiritually, so back with self assurance i'm telling you that you'll wade through and that i recognize is undesirable and also you're able to deny from time to time that he's there yet in case you beleive as all of us could do I make certain you'll see a pattern. i imagine God waits for you to ask Him and then to provide. I had issues with Him also. yet i think more effective acceptable now. yet another ingredient, in case you cant beleive to God you could beleive to a author that could see a minimum of from time to time your complications as a skill above, besides the undeniable fact that the only which could except your reliable acts. i desire I helped you.

all books of religion are up for various interpretations by various individuals. those who seek power or control will find verses or whatever that back their "cause" up in order to gain supporters. right now, this whole crap in Iraw is being transformed into another Crusades.
