I'm planning a trip with my sister and her kids to Disneyland in December. I'd like to take my sister (without the kids) to a very nice restaurant while we're there. I've heard The White House is good. Is that true? Is there another restaurant you'd recommend?

The White House is supposed to be very good. Orange Hill restaurant is also supposed to be quite good. My personal favorite is the Cellar in downtown fullerton. It's always on the best of the best lists in the area.

If the kids are old enough to split up, you could also go to the Blue Bayou in Disneyland. It's not as good as the others, but it could be one more place to have a good meal while you are there.

Have Fun!

The Blue Bayou in Disneyland is great dining if you like Cajun influenced cuisine.

The White House is a well-known and good restaurant.

Mr. Stox is pretty upscale, but it's been there as long as I can recall.

JT Schmidt's is a brewhouse restaurant right across from the Arrowhead Pond and down the street from Disneyland.

Morton's in nearby Santa Ana is a great steakhouse.

If you head over to Buena Park catch dinner at Mrs. Knotts Chicken Dinner Restaurant. You don't have to go into the park to dine and the boysenberry sherbet is delish!

If you want authentic Vietnamese food, go to Westminster to Little Saigon. The pho places are cheap and plentiful.

For authentic Mexican food, there are tons of places all over Anaheim, Santa Ana, and Garden Grove. (If it's still there, my favorite was on Magnolia between Broadway and Ball. I think it was called Taqueria De Anda. It was a tiny little storefront place but SOOO good!)

I have heard really wonderful things about the Napa Rose restaurant in the Grand Californian Hotel at the Disneyland Resort. The hotel is amazing, and if your sister is already in the area, this would be convenient.

For me, I love to go to Duke's at the Huntington Beach Pier. The seafood is wonderful and the view is nice. And in December we should be back into our great sunsets.

Wherever you go, just enjoy having time with your sister!

The White House is amazing. I've eaten there a couple times. The food is a little pricey... but the service and the atmosphere is outstanding. You def get what you pay for there.
